This balloon teaches me: “You don’t know nuttin’!”

It was after 9am when this balloon approached from the north. I heard it from the master bedroom…the “SSHSHHSHHH” of whatever makes that noise on a balloon. I was annoyed frankly.

It was well after 9am and my post from yesterday stated that balloons never come that late nor from the north! Well, there’s a new balloon in town apparently! I’ve never seen this particular one before – purple, white and teal. It carried on making a fuss over the house and then I heard it again, loudly, heading south. And there it is. This is what you see out your window in Phoenix in the winter – the flying scarf of the lighted polar bear and a balloon in the distance!

Balloons have always been a good sign for me. It was a ReMax balloon that took me to my first home in Tempe, AZ. It was a balloon on November 1, 2009 that was an inspiration for my writing (beginning NaNoWriMo.) I believe the balloons the past two days are symbols to pursue my writing even when things look mixed up. UP!

Backyard Balloon

Reason: Interesting the silly things that will catch you off guard. ”Surprised” I was to walk to the backyard (at 8:30am no less…any balloon is usually long gone by then) and to see this one in the distance to the north. I noticed it and noticed that I noticed it. Told myself, “don’t need a photo, you already have one up for today, you already have so many of balloons” then told myself, “yeah, but this is a new direction. Take it.”

The bunnies are all over the yard & that’s what I’d like to recall from today. Darkness now on 1/5/10 so not a chance to catch them. This is the photo I ALWAYS remember when I think of bunnies in the yard. I’m working to improve how I look at my photos and it took some time, but I selected this one as the best. My quest here is also to improve my skills of discerning, “What’s a good photo?”

This has been a day of creating.
